Sepsis
Sepsis is a life-threatening organ dysfunction caused by a dysregulated host response to infection.
Criteria (qSOFA)
- Respiratory rate ≥ 22/min
- Altered mentation (GCS < 15)
- Systolic blood pressure ≤ 100 mmHg
Sepsis Bundle (1-Hour)
- Measure lactate levels
- Obtain blood cultures before starting antibiotics
- Administer broad-spectrum antibiotics
- Administer 30 mL/kg crystalloid for hypotension or lactate ≥ 4 mmol/L
