Regression Analysis
Regression analysis examines the relationship between a dependent variable and one or more independent variables to make predictions.
Types of Models
- Simple Linear Regression: Predicts an outcome based on one variable.
- Multiple Regression: Predicts an outcome based on multiple variables.
- Logistic Regression: Used when the outcome is binary, such as disease presence.
Clinical Uses
- Predicting length of stay based on age and comorbid conditions.
- Adjusting for confounding variables in clinical research.
