T-Tests
The T-test is a statistical method used to compare the means of two groups to determine if they are significantly different from each other.
Types of T-Tests
- Independent T-Test: Compares means between two distinct, unrelated groups.
- Paired T-Test: Compares means of the same group at two different time points (pre/post).
Assumptions
- Data must be approximately normally distributed.
- Variances between groups should be similar (homogeneity of variance).
- Used for small sample sizes or when population standard deviation is unknown.
