Surgical Terms
- -ectomy: surgical removal
- -ostomy: creating a new opening or stoma
- -plasty: surgical repair or reconstruction
- -pexy: surgical fixation
Postoperative Application
- Colostomy: creating an opening in the colon for waste
- Arthroplasty: joint replacement or repair
- Mastectomy: removal of breast tissue
- Orchiopexy: fixation of an undescended testis
