Nursing diagnoses define a patient's response to actual or potential health problems rather than the medical disease itself.
PES Structure
- Problem: The diagnostic label (NANDA-I).
- Etiology: The 'related to' (R/T) factor contributing to the problem.
- Signs and Symptoms: The 'as evidenced by' (AEB) defining characteristics.
